Week 9 Wrap-up

You might have noticed a distinct lack of a post last week. No, I'm not lazy, and no I was not busy. There was no game last week...that is all.

As for this week...geez. I don't understand why I have to sweat a game with the New York Jets. I mean, they are 1-7 for crying outloud. But, instead of blowing them out by 20, I have to scream and yell and curse until they eek out a three point win in overtime. Sheesh.

Opening kickoff...touchdown Jets. Huh? Our special teams were playing so well up to this point, and then poof. Sigh...I think I need to just take my own advice and realize that the Washington Redskins are just not a complete team. That means that on a given week, one facet will do well, but 2 others will perform like a junior varsity team in some Alaskan city.

Clinton Portis finally played like he was worth SOME of the money we're paying him. Well, congratulations Clinton...take the rest of the season off. We all know you're going to. Most top backs show up every week...our "superstar" running back shows up once or twice a season. Why? Because he's OVERRATED and just not that good. Maybe this time, he'll be able to keep up his performance in week 9.

And of course, Cooley performed well because he's the only person that gets passes from Jason. At least...finally...we have a kicker! Shaun Suisam went 5-5 and basically kept us in (and eventually won) the game.

Other than that...we suck. Just deal with it. But we're 5-3, so, unless we just tank it for the rest of the season, we should be in the playoff picture until week 14.

Week 9 Cuts:
- Carlos Rodgers (never like to see a guy injured, but I'm happy he's no longer playing for us)
- Brandon Lloyd (did he even get on the field today?)
- Coaching Staff (worst play callers/game management ever)

Week 9 Props:
- COOOOOOLEY!
- Shaun Suisam (is the nuts!)
- Clinton Portis (ok fine...I'll give him props this week)
