Nothing Has Changed

I really hope that we are not fooled by what transpired last night. We are still a bad team. We are still, NOT going to the playoffs. All we did was beat the lousy Bears, who are just as bad a team as we are.

And now we've probably lost Campbell for the rest of the year.

I was at last night's game, or at least...half of it. It was SO COLD!! I left at halftime...I am a wimp. I'm sorry...I'll admit that I am a wuss when it comes to cold, but I might be more inclined to brave the elements for a team that was actually doing something. I refuse to sacrifice for this team....Sorry if you have a problem with that.

They do not sacrifice for me.

Why Do I Torture Myself?

Yep...I'm going to this stupid game tomorrow. It's going to be cold. It's going to be windy. We are going to lose.

Please be prepared for much griping when I return.

Copy & Paste

So, here's a post I made on board I'm on, MD-Poker. I haven't posted here in a bit, partially because I've been very, very busy at work (where I make all my blog posts), but also because I've been so pissed off with this team, that words couldn't even describe my feelings for them. This post is in a discussion about the game last week against the Bills and the state of the team.

You can view the whole conversation here.

And, here's my rant (expletive's deleted):

What confuses me is that as soon as I saw the "Timeout" logo on the screen, I yelled out, "YOU CAN'T CALL TWO TIMEOUTS IN A ROW!" Then, there was some confusion, and then they called the penalty. My issue is that...I'm just some guy...in a bar...watching the game. How come I know more about the rules than the 16-year Hall of Fame coach? {BLEEPING} {BLEEP}!!!

Now, all the blame for the loss cannot go to Gibbs, however. The highly touted Gregg Williams defense did allow them to march down the {BLEEPING} field. And, if I remember correctly, didn't they pick up like 35 yards on 3rd & 10 just to have a chance at a 51-yard FG, which, they were going to get regardless of the timeout fiasco. I mean...the first kick was right down the middle and probably good from 57. But, nevertheless, our defense is not supposed to allow the 31st ranked offense in the league to march down the field for the game winning field goal.

There is mass confusion on this team, from Snyder all the way down to the position coaches. There's way too many highly paid coaches on this team, all with agendas and egos. And, at the root of the problem are two people...the first of which is someone I never thought I'd actually wish had stayed retired. It's really hard to watch Joe Gibbs get out-coached every week by coaches that wouldn't have been able to hold his jockstrap 15 years ago. His inability to move the ball downfield, manage the clock, manage timeouts, and prepare his team is really just sickening. Every week, it's the same story...Get a 1st half lead, and then go three and out for the remainder of the game, allowing some mediocre team to come back. Then, for some reason, Gibbs makes some bonehead blunder at the end, and we lose another close game...when, if we had just put the team away, it wouldn't have mattered.

The Bills didn't want to win that game. They did everything possible to lose it. I mean, the Skins kept giving them the ball, and they just kept getting field goals. At any time, the Skins could have said, ok...we're done...game over...I'm ready to go home. But no, they'd much rather keep the team around so that they can beat them at the end of the game. It sickens me to be a Redskins fan....It really does. Every time I watch them now, I want to throw up. Everyone sucks...The head coach..the "assistant head coaches" (what a joke!)...the owner...Clinton Portis...Ladel Betts...all of them. Players, coaches, owner....it's really pathetic.

The Washington Redskins are the laughing stock of the NFL...period. They are even more of a joke than Miami.

I quit.
