Skins 16 Dolphins13 OT
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first post on this blog. I decided that my other blogs were getting a bit boring, and since I spend large portions of my day ranting about my Redkins, I figured I should blog about them.
Hopefully, at some point, someone will want to hear what I have to say.
So, the game...I was actually at Fed-Ex field for this game, as were about another 94,000 other you, give or take a few thousand. Before I can even get to the game itself, I first must address a serious crisis we have on our hands. Sunday's weather called for warm temperatures and sunny skies. I'd put the temperature somewhere around 93 degrees (felt like 193 degrees inside the stadium). Now, I understand it's hot, but that is NO REASON to remove your shirt (or any other article of clothing, for that matter) unless you have an additional shirt (or poncho) to replace it. I saw more meat at this game than I did on my visit to the Texas Beef Council. I'm talking serious man-boobs here...some who had larger breasts than a Redskins Cheerleader. Seriously...keep your clothes on. Misery does not love company.
So, anyway...while I was losing 23 lbs sitting in the stands, I made some notes about the game. Here they are:
1. Jason Campbell throws a very nice spiral.
2. Brandon Lloyd will be washing my car next week (or bagging my groceries).
3. Our CBs are bad. I mean real bad. They were getting lit up by Chris Chambers, who is a decent receiver, but no Steve Smith. What are they going to do when they actually meet a team with a half-decent passing offense and a good quarterback like the Patriots, Eagles, Giants, etc. What are they going to do when receivers don't flat out drop easy passes on critical 3rd downs? We need help...
4. Sean Taylor is still the "Human Missle".
5. Sunglass sun tan is extremely amusing to me.
6. Coach Gibbs is a thin, drunk black man sitting directly behind me.
7. John Madden (or insert your favorite commentator here) is actually a thin, drunk, black man sitting directly behind me.
8. Clinton Portis is STILL overrated.
9. Win or lose, kicking a 40+ yard FG on 1st and 10 is just bad coaching.
10. Neither Joe Gibbs nor Cam Cameron know how to manage a game clock.
I have more, but this list could easy go on for a while, and since I don't write this blog for a living, I'm going to have to get back to work soon. All in all, it was a very exciting game, especially the ending. We won, and that's good an all...but don't start the bandwagon up just yet. Miami is a bad team...and so are we.
I'm not ready to drink the kool-aid just yet.
